HCLTech, a prominent Indian IT services company, has entered into a strategic collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to accelerate the integration of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) within the company and across global enterprises. In a recent exchange filing, HCLTech announced its collaboration with AWS, aiming to harness the potential of GenAI to revolutionize industries and drive innovation. Prabhakar Appana, Senior Vice President and Head of AWS Ecosystem Business Unit at HCLTech, expressed the transformative power of GenAI and emphasized the value this partnership brings to clients in terms of fostering innovation and establishing a robust global AI ecosystem.
As part of this collaboration, HCLTech plans to leverage Amazon CodeWhisperer, a component of AWS’s advanced GenAI portfolio, across its extensive team of over 50,000 engineers, cloud practitioners, and developers. The primary focus is on building secure applications and responsibly utilizing AI both internally and for clients. By integrating Amazon CodeWhisperer with HCLTech’s ADvantage Cloud platform, the company aims to streamline automated mass application migration to the cloud. This integration will enable automated rehosting, refactoring, and re-platforming procedures while providing a centralized dashboard for monitoring and planning migrations.
HCLTech’s strategic collaborations extend beyond AWS, as the company has previously established partnerships with major players in the industry such as Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure.
