Indian IT services company Hexaware Technologies has rolled out an innovative variable pay scheme, offering employees over 100% in variable payouts. The scheme ranges from 100% for those meeting performance expectations during appraisal cycles to an impressive 120% for high-performing individuals showcasing exceptional performance over two years. This move reflects Hexaware’s commitment to prioritizing its workforce, aiming to enhance employee motivation and well-being. Hexaware, with a current employee count exceeding 28,000, also plans to hire approximately 6,000 experienced professionals in the coming year. In 2022, the company achieved remarkable growth of more than 25% in constant currency terms. Vinod Chandran, Hexaware’s Chief Operating Officer, emphasized the significance of acknowledging employees even in challenging economic times, noting that the company’s average variable payout of 103% surpasses industry standards.
