In the recent IIT Bombay campus placement drive, a notable achievement was witnessed as eighty-five students secured lucrative offers of Rs. 1 crore, while sixty-three students received international offers. The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, renowned for its excellence in education and fostering top-tier talent, experienced an impressive recruitment season. Diverse and prestigious companies participated in the placement process, including Accenture, Airbus, Air India, Apple, Arthur D. Little, Bajaj, Barclays, Cohesity, Da Vinci, DHL, Fullerton, Future First, GE-ITC, Global Energy and Environ, Google, among others.

The sectors that attracted the highest number of offers during the placement season included Engineering and Technology, IT/Software, Finance/Banking/Fintech, Management Consulting, Data Science and Analytics, Research and Development, and Design.

IIT Bombay reported that the international offers spanned various locations, such as Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, Netherlands, Singapore, and Hong Kong. A total of 63 students accepted these international opportunities. Simultaneously, 85 students secured positions with an annual package exceeding Rs. 1 crore. This remarkable success further solidifies the institute’s standing as a preferred destination for top recruiters seeking exceptional talent.

The first phase of the placement session for the academic year 2023-24 witnessed the participation of 388 domestic and international organizations. This encompassed companies extending pre-placement offers (PPOs) and public sector units (PSUs). The engagement between these organizations and the students took place through a combination of face-to-face and virtual interactions.

According to information from PTI, by December 20, 2023, a total of 1,340 offers had been extended, leading to the placement of 1,188 students. The robust participation of leading companies and the diverse range of sectors represented in the recruitment process underline the institute’s commitment to providing students with opportunities across various domains.
