Liberty Global plc, a prominent player in converged video, broadband, and communications, along with Infosys, a global leader in digital services and consulting, have recently announced a significant expansion of their collaborative efforts. This partnership aims to amplify the capabilities of Liberty Global’s state-of-the-art digital entertainment and connectivity platforms.
Building upon a successful multi-year association that commenced in February 2020, both companies are now set to elevate their partnership to new levels of innovation. As part of this extended collaboration, Infosys will assume responsibility for designing and managing Liberty Global’s renowned Horizon entertainment and connectivity platforms. The integration will leverage advanced technologies, including Infosys Topazâ„¢ AI.
With an initial 5-year agreement and a potential extension of up to 8 years, this expanded alliance lays the foundation for Infosys to deliver services to Liberty Global valued at €1.5 billion during the primary term, and potentially up to €2.3 billion if extended. The collaboration is expected to result in operational efficiencies, significant cost savings exceeding €100 million annually, and cutting-edge technological advancements.
Beyond these financial outcomes, this partnership presents a unique opportunity for more than 400 employees of Liberty Global, who will transition to Infosys and gain access to its global scale and diverse career prospects. Notably, senior executives and technology teams from Liberty Global will join Infosys, contributing their expertise to the fields of communications, media, and entertainment.
